Whats new with Run United 2?

One thing is certain.. its going to be one fun race runners are going to look forward to. In Unilab ActiveHealth’s continuing efforts to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among families,2012 Run United will have its second leg on June 17, 2012 at SM Mall of Asia.

But lets check out the essential race details first

RACE DATE: June 17, 2012 (Sunday)

VENUE: SM Mall of Asia and Bonifacio Global City

Where the 21km runners will be treated to a one way run, starting line at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and the finishline is at SM Mall of Asia (MOA)

Kids 500m/3km/5km/10km Race Categories Start and Finishline is at SM Mall of Asia

CATEGORIES: Kids from age 5 to 12 years old can join the Ceelin 500-meter dash to jumpstart their journey to fitness. Moms, dads and older siblings can choose from the different race categories like 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km.

2) The medal. Of all the running medal’s out here, this has to be the holy grail of medals. You get to be Indiana Jones to get one of these and really work for it. It was all planned out by Coach Rio de la Cruz, as part of the series which leads up to the full development of the runner by racing two (2) 21km, one (1) 32km afroman distance and finally a full 42Km marathon… the full one ha…not the 5km marathon. 3) That world class experience. It was always Coach Rio’s dream of bringing world class run racing event to the Philippines. One of them like I said is the run route which is one way, this takes the runners to experience a shuttle bus ride. Unless you’re non eco friendly enough to bring a car and driver to shuttle you from /to BGC / MOA.. its fine but living rich could be a bitch if you miss out on the fun bonding experience with fellow runners on the bus. Run Rio will be taking action on improving logistics in distributing Bags from runners that deposit their bags in BGC. REMINDER… if you started to arrive in MOA (leave your car in MOA and shuttle to BGC) just leave your belongings at the Baggage tent in MOA and dont bring it anymore to BGC.

Run United 2 EXPO .. Architectural awesomeness of Gleaming white 50meters of air filled, and fun filled goodness! most races abroad feature an EXPO, this year Race KIT Claiming will be held at the EXPO, wherein registered runners will claim their race kit June 13 to 16, 2012. 21KM runners may claim on ll days but EXCLUSIVE 21KM category kit claiming will be on June 13. Managed by Team Bike Botique (the team behind IronMan events) it is the best event merchandise company in the Asia Pacific. In the EXPO, runners can check out the latest merchandises, shoes and apparel top local and foreign brand companies can offer. This way these top brands can showcase in detail their functional and technical specs of their products. REMINDERS:

Race Kits may run out before June 3, 2012, therefore registration may end earlier than announced deadline. Run United 2 had provided slots for the 4,000 that ran in Run United 1, plus around 1,000 more for those that were not able to run and wish to run 21km this time. Unfortunately as of April 28 2,500 slots were already filled for the 21km and getting filled on the hour by the hour AS YOU READ THIS.

A Valid ID must be presented upon registration.

For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID & picture must be presented by the representative.

Singlet size availability will be on a first come first serve basis.

A timing device will be used by all participants during the race.

For in-store registrants, keep your registration receipts. You need to present it to claim your Race Kits at the Expo.
